Senior Policy Manager, J-PAL Global
Kyle Murphy is a Senior Policy Manager at J-PAL Global where he manages J-PAL’s Agriculture sector and the Agricultural Technology Adoption Initiative (ATAI). As a member of the policy group Kyle shares lessons on what works with foundations, NGOs, governments and others and helps them integrate rigorous evidence into their program and policy processes.
Kyle holds a master’s degree in public policy from the University of Michigan’s Gerald R. Ford School of Public Policy where he focused on international development and program evaluation. As a student, he was a Coverdell Fellow, a Dow Sustainability Fellow, and worked with Global Detroit and Recovery Park to help design their social impact monitoring frameworks. He also worked as a research assistant to Professor Dean Yang studying the links between cultural institutions and economic development in Mexico. Kyle served as an agricultural extensionist and volunteer coordinator for three years with the United States Peace Corps in Nicaragua. He also holds a B.A. in anthropology and political science from the University of Michigan.
