Tristan Reed is Economist in the Development Research Group of the World Bank studying questions at the intersection of development and industrial organization in applied economics. His work on the agricultural sector specifically has studied the nature of competition and price determination in markets for cocoa and fish in West Africa. Prior to joining the Bank, he worked as a management consultant in the Africa office of McKinsey and Company. He earned a Ph.D. in economics from Harvard University and a B.A. in economics from UCLA.
